The Ankaria Foundation, with the collaboration of PHotoEspaña (PHE), an international festival of photography and visual arts, organizes a viewing of portfolios that will take place on May 11.
The portfolio viewing is a training program that is designed for those photographers who are developing a body of work and seek to know different professional perspectives in order to improve their presentation and give visibility to their work. A total of 10 photographers will have the opportunity to show their work in a 20-minute presentation with four prominent curators and managers.
Among the 10 participants of the portfolio review, a selection of photographers will be chosen to participate in the Discoveries PHE Week, a professional meeting in PIC.A that will be held on June 7 and 8, 2018, coinciding with the official opening of PHotoEspaña Fest. During two days, each photographer will have seven individual appointments and will be able to enjoy the program of seminars and activities related to the festival. The organization will take care of the trip, accommodation and registration.
This activity is open to photographers with nationality or residence in Senegal. There is a total of 10 places, and the meeting will be given in order of arrival.
Requirements: Send a document (info@fundacionankaria.org) in PDF format including: 10 low resolution images, name and surnames, title of the portfolio, year of completion, technique, brief biography (maximum 500 characters with spaces) and brief description of the project (maximum 500 characters with spaces).
