In collaboration with University Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), the Foundation organized a conference to debate the Spanish education system, in relation with our productive system’s competitiveness.
This encounter gathered intellectuals and experts on conversation in this elemental, but not enough discussed, subject. “The debate on Education and Competitiveness in Spain is, despite Spanish society, a subject outside news and not given much thought. It still is necessary the design and development of an education system that, apart from preparing the students in solid theoretical knowledge previous to their higher education, also connects the university with the business world” Ricardo Martí Fluxá, President of the Foundation, said.
This conference was open to all, both teaching and student communities, and society in general. The guiding principle there was that, in Spain, bridges between education and business’ actual needs do not exist; and it is necessary to analyze the different factors that contribute to this deficit in the education system.
