The exhibition ‘Expectation and memory’ proposes a general reflection on Spain and Morocco -two concomitant places but at the same time strangers- through a selection of visual works that review with detention, relations and exchanges that have kept the two countries from early twentieth century until today in north Africa.
It is not a simple collection of images from different eras, but rather to establish, from representative situations of daily life, a calm approach to an adjacent society opting for a global look, with special emphasis on everyday aspects that usually go unnoticed.
The exhibition relives the last century of history taking as reference the photos of Bartolome Ros, Nicolas Muller, Atin Aya, Miguel Trillo, Castro Prieto, Francis Tsang, Manolo Espaliú, Carla Andrade, Lucas Gómez, Bruno Barbey, Omar Mahfoudi, Leila Alaoui and Yasmine Taferssiti.
