On the occasion of the project launched jointly by the Ankaria Foundation and the Complutense University called “Space Ankaria UCM”, the exhibition of the “Looking through the eyes of machines” seminar by the artist and researcher Paul Laidler can already be seen in the exhibition hall of the auditorium of the Fine Arts College.
Espacio Ankaria UCM is an open platform for UCM Fine Arts students and others from various Spanish and foreign educational institutions that will promote the creation and dissemination of creative and research work on contemporary graphic art and its relationship with the technologies.
The first initiative that will launch the Space Ankaria UCM, with the collaboration of the House of Velázquez, will be the international seminar Looking through the eyes of machines, which will give the artist at the Faculty of Fine Arts, March 28 to 31, the artist , Researcher and professor at the West of England University of Bristol Paul Laidler. Fifteen students will participate in the project, whose graphic projects have previously been selected by a committee of experts, including the director of the Ankaria Foundation, Isabel Elorrieta, and the vice-dean of culture of the Faculty of Fine Arts, Margarita González.
Those selected will be able to share several digital printing workshops and personal tutorials with Laidler and the projects they carry out throughout the seminar will travel to Bristol to participate in an exhibition organized at the University of West of England.
