Brazilian Pedro Torres wins the XI Edition of the Ankaria Artist Book Award with his work “Roma”

Pedro Torres (Brazil, 1984) has been awarded the XI Ankaria Artist Book Prize for his work titled Roma, in which he delves into his artistic research on time and space, using the experience of walking through the city of Rome and the concepts of temporal and spatial stratification as his starting point.

The second prize has been awarded to Madrid-based artist Pedro Luis Cembranos for his work Páginas Amarillas, while the Javier Rosón Pérez Special Award, recognizing works by young creators under the age of 28, has been given to Alejandra Espinosa (San Sebastián, 2002) for her piece Ma mère et moi.

The Prize is endowed with 3,000 euros for the first selected work and 1,500 euros for the second. Additionally, the work receiving the Javier Rosón Pérez Special Award is granted 1,000 euros. The winning pieces will also be included in the traveling exhibition “La Palabra Pintada.”
